When choosing the best books for toddlers and babies, sometimes you just need an easy read. These authors keep it simple, making these books high in my estimation for readability.
Sometimes you are tired, but sometimes you are just tired of reading the same book over and over and over. If you need some variety, here are (sometimes lesser known) books by the same authors to spice up your nightly reading ritual while still keeping it simple. You might even be surprised to find that you like one of them better (like I was with Eric Carle's The Very Busy Spider).
When you just need to cross the finish line to bedtime after a long day, these are short reads and good books for toddlers guaranteed to get you there. Enjoy!
